Go Clean, Get Green in Your Community: Saturday, April 27, 2019
Location: Scotsburn AND Pictou

GO CLEAN, GET GREEN EVERYONE! Cape to Cape Members are invited to join their local communities. Here are two specific options for you!

1/ Saturday, April 27 from 9am - 11am. C2Cers will join Pictou Recreation at Two Locations: 1/ Market Square (Water St) and 2/ Broidy Park (Wellington St). This hike and trash cleanup will be led by new C2C Committee member Sue Gostock in her first Nature – Environmental - Leisure hike (the first of a series of meetup style hikes). Michelle Young will represent Pictou Recreation. We welcome the public to join the hike and clean a section of the Jitney Trail. Bring water, snack, good footwear, hat and clothing for the weather. BBQ to follow.

2/ Saturday, April 27 from 9am - 11am. C2Cers will join Scotsburn Recreation Club (SRC) led by Eric Wilson (C2C and SRC) and Monica Beaudin (SRC) at the JP Gammon Hall (across from Deb’s Café) in downtown Scotsburn. We’ll split up into teams, go both ways on the Jitney and 256 and scour downtown and suburban Scotsburn for scraps of trash! C2Cers, SRCers and the public are all welcome. Bring water, snack, good footwear, hat and clothing for the weather. Afterwards, we’ll have refreshments at Deb’s Café.

ALL COLLECTION MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED, BUT BRING A CLEAR BAG OF YOUR OWN, JUST IN CASE WE RUN SHORT OF KITS!

So, mark your calendars April 27th for one of these events and be there at 9am sharp please! Do a service for your community. Come on out!
